Certainly stable enough to run apache (after you boot - booting can be
problematic from time to time).

I wouldn't run a production server on 2.4 right now (at least not on PPC).
Expect the occasional mysterious crash. Think paranoid.

Also, why don't you run a testsuite on it? Boot it to 2.4 and bang on it as
hard as you can. There's no better way to judge reliability for your intended
use... and see if you even need the extra CPU while you're at it.
