While tinkering with Mr. Stevenson's Open Firmware script, I realized that
all my partitions on the Mac side were done up with HFS+ (Using Mac OS X,
and its required). So, naturally, the volumes do not show up the contents
fully, and are mounted as locked. You could see the desktop database, and
the file "where have all my files gone"

That file "where have all my files gone" is in the wrapper of the HFS part
of the HFS+ disk, that explains mounting a HFS+ disk with something that is
looking at it via HFS will not show your files. Understandable that I
should see that. This leaves me with the delemma of not being able to use
this method to make a more perm. booting selection.

I foolishly ran the G4/400/AGP firmware update 4.1.8, and since then, the
setenv control is useless for using the bootscript - "holding the spacebar
down to boot" method. All it will give me now is a grey screen.

Irritating to say the least. i have to go into Open Firmware to boot via
Yaboot, and to boot back into Mac, hold the Option key down on boot, to
access the new boot selector for new world ROM Macs.

Works, but its painfully slow.

Anything on the YDL side to access HFS+ in the same manner?
