I thought that was the case, but I wasn't going to say anything, because I

Ok, so you are the person to talk to, then. I have a Performa 6112CD, and
I've tried everything. For some reason, it can't read discs very well. I
don't know if maybe the cdrom just can't read the brand of cdr I have, but
I know the image is good. in MacOS, it will take probably 20 minutes to
read the disc, and then another 20 or so whenever I change directories. In
the MkLinux installer, it won't read the first file from the CD, and I am
not sure if it is because the disc is bad. Any help you can offer?
