Subject: scroll wheel function in emacs

I was wondering if anyone had succeeded in getting the scroll wheel to work
in emacs (technically I guess that's xemacs? the one that has its own
window)
I tried various additions to .tcshrc that I had seen posted as a means of
getting it to work, but they did nothing. It has scroll wheel functionality
out of the box on my Red Hat 7.2 machine, so I'm wondering if it's something
to do w/ YDL?
