I changed the subject to make it refer to something that others can
recognize even without
reading the whole message. That's a good practice for when others in your
boat are searching
through the archives with the same issue.

You burned the CD, now what?

See if you can read the CD.
You can do this on a windoze machine if necessary.
There is a file called "Readme" in the top level directory.
That is a good place to start.
Here is an excerpt from that file, which kind of gives you a hint at the
step after that.

"
YELLOW DOG LINUX GUIDE TO INSTALLATION

The Yellow Dog Linux Guide to Installation is available in
HTML format at http://www.yellowdoglinux.com.
"
The install guide is what you are looking for. It directs you through the
whole install process.
There have been many "snags with burning CDs" and "installation problems"
already covered on this list since 2.0 came out.
If you run into problems, you can search through the archives and see if a
solution already has been given.
Asking people to walk you through each step is not really the best use for
this board.
When you get stuck, by all means, use it.

Good Luck,
Gary Hannon
