I've been running WindowMaker since I updated to Champion 1.1, and have had no
problems to date. My wife does use Gnome/Enlightenment with no problems either,
but I have updated all the gnome & kde packages to the latest available (usually
from ftp.mklinux.org). Perhaps someone who is experiencing these freezes should
give that a try.

Note: the reason I use mklinux.org is they are currently working on a new
distribution, and are fanatical about keeping the packages up to date before the
final release.
