I think all 43Ps are PCI machines...but I'm in the same boat with my
43P-132. There doesn't seem to be a key that selects the Open Firmware
commandline...I even called IBM-SERV on this and they said if I'm going to
boot it I've got to boot it from a CD, or SCSI device. That's when I
thought of trying to put the ZIMAGE on a CD...but I've had no luck with that
either.

Which goes back to a note I had written a week ago or so - asking for a
universal boot image to be placed on the YDL cd...much like IBM puts a boot
image on their AIX media disks that will boot any IBM machine (PCI or MCA).

through the 43p-140 service manual, which came with the machine, at the end
of chapter six (Loading the system diagnostics) is a summary table of boot
options and control keys. You may want to try to find that and look for a
key that selects the Open Firmware command line. Is the 120 a Micro-Channel
bus machine or does it have a pci bus?
