Hi Tony,

I did install Yellow Dog Linux on my Powerbook Firewire (it was a
little bit more complicated to get it working)...

I can use the function keys in Linux, even if they are configured
with the default powrbook function, by pressing the command (apple)
key in the same time (in fact, the command key has to be the first
pressed).

I guess you could use the same shortcut with the bronze PB.
