I had this same problem.

WHat you need to do is open up the latest Stuffit application (version 5.0?)
itself.

Then from File -> Open, pick this "BootX_1.2.2.sea" as the file to open
(yes, this seems conter-intuitivie since it's a self-extracting archive)...

Then unstuff...

That's it and it worked for me...
