That is correct. The maximum RAM supported on PPC is currently around 700MB
iirc. You may be able to boot with a kernel argument of "mem=700" but I'm not
sure.

This part doesn't make much sense. Do you mean 2.2.14? 2.2.14 is old, clearly
older than 2.2.15 (and the current 2.2 version is now .17).

At any rate, Ben's precompiled kernels are generally safe and support newer
